The City of Beacon Housing Authority (BHA) was created in 1969 and since then has been providing affordable housing to eligible individuals and families in the City of Beacon and surrounding communities.

Forrestal Heights 002 web

BHA is governed by a seven member Board of Directors.  Five members are appointed by the City’s Mayor.  Two members are tenant representatives who are elected by the tenants of Forrestal Heights and Hamilton Fish Plaza. Our policies and priorities are established through a Five Year/Annual Plan.  We receive most of our funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which has rated us a High Performer.

BHA manages 245 public housing apartments and provides Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance to over 300 families living in our jurisdiction.

I hope you find our website helpful. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact us.
